Through hard work, Trining is able to build a large estate in their little town. Everyone is happy about the achievement of this well-loved widow, but no one knew that in her old age, Trining would experience suffering. Trining's only daughter Patricia becomes obsessed with money to the point of stripping her mother of rights to her own property.
